Ms. Willie Ruth Robinson (Smith) "Tiny" a.k.a "Ruthye" age 78, of Zephyrhills, Florida was born May 22, 1945 in Albany, Georgia to Leroy Smith and the late Ethel Lee Amos. She came to Florida at an early age, and also lived in Hudson, New York for 15 years. Willie Ruth graduated from Mickens High School in Dade City, Florida and returned as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Dade City, Florida, where she sang in gospel Choir #1. Ms. Robinson also wrote poetry and was given the Editor's Choice Award for outstanding achievement in poetry in 2001. Ms. Robinson went to her eternal home on Friday, September 1, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Willie Mae Jackson; She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughters, Gwendolyn D, Johnson (Abdul Shakur) and Nichelle R. Anouar; grandchildren, Shakayla Monique Rainey, James Rainey, Jr. Kiara Chavet Rainey, Jamyra Alise Rainey, Danielle Monet Belair and John Wesley Young IV; great-grandchildren. Avah, RJ, Layla and Londyn; her sister, Ella M. Reed (Edward); brother, Solomon Tharpe (Martha); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
