Thomas George Pavek, 71, passed away on June 5, 2024 at home in San Antonio, Florida. Tom was born on May 16, 1953 in Fargo, North Dakota to parents, Mary Pavek (Smith) and Leonard Pavek. He was raised in Iowa along with his siblings before making his way to Florida. He is preceded in death by both parents and one sister, Patricia Ann Stoddard (Pavek). He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Sanders as well as his siblings; Jim Pavek of Dade City, FL. , Deb Pavek of Durango, CO. and Rick Pavek of Auburn, AL. Tom leaves behind one daughter, Janel Richey (Pavek) and two step-sons, Christian and Jonah Sanders. He will be deeply missed by 6 grand children; Adysun and Abygayle Richey, Elizabeth and Christian Sanders, Annabelle and Brody Sanders, as well as 1 great grand daughter, Mallory DeRolf. Tom is known for being a master carpenter, extremely skilled in his trade while using his creative mind and capable hands to create gorgeous things out of nothing. He is remembered for his generous heart, and is affectionately known as the bike man. Tom was recognized by Sunrise domestic violence shelter, For his selfless acts of investing in the children of the community. Family, and friends alike remember Tom for a jovial personality, and beaming smile that became his trademark to all. He maintained his stubborn spirit and fought cancer in ways that make all of us proud. As his family, we are grateful for his freedom from pain and illness. Heaven gained a good one. At Tom’s request, there will be no formal services. However, a celebration of life may be planned at a future date.
