Sara Delphine Singletary Hadley-Banahene was a Queen of many names that you better not mess up! She was born February 26, 1956 to Dorothy Singletary and the Late Charles Carr Jr. in Lake City, South Carolina. She later moved to New York and finally to Florida. She frequently made it known that she was a "New Yorker residing in Florida". She accomplished many things, which included teaching generations of 4th graders in New York; having two children and one granddaughter; all of which she was TRULY proud of. God declared that her work was done and called her home from Florida on September 7, 2020. She may have left us as a Floridian but she had the heart and soul of a New Yorker. We all wouldn't trade a minute of the time she shared with us from her 64 years. This Queen touched the hearts and lives of many and she will be missed immensely. Sara is survived by her "Son of Mine", Brandon Hadley; her "Daughter of Mine", Arryelle Banahene; her "Grandma's gorgeous Grand Baby", Sahirriyah Champion; her mother, Dorothy Singletary; her sister, Tamara Yarde; her first cousin, Delanda McCrary Howard; and numerous nieces, nephews, as well as numerous grand nieces and nephews and other sorrowing relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
