Raymond B. Capehart

Raymond Bernard Capehart, known to most simply as, "Ray", was born December 21, 1965, in Dade City, Florida to Shirley Butler and Bunis Capehart (Betty Jean).  Ray attended school in Orlando, FL where he was raised from the age of 5. He graduated from college with an Electrical Engineering degree. He found pleasure in working for numerous companies throughout his career, including 25 years at A & K Energy and was finally forced to medically retire from Hemma Lighting Solutions.  Ray was a hard worker and great provider who enjoyed good music and fishing. He was an amazing cook, be it on the grill or a preparing a pot of beans, he was sure to make it well.  He enjoyed spending his time with family and friends and was always the life of the party, his laughter was contagious. Ray was slow to anger and quick to forgive, he will definitely be missed!  He left to cherish memories with his beloved partner, of 35 years Linda Sue Coleman; His children Ronnerry Fell, Raphael Lighting, Raymonte Capehart & Raymond Capehart, Jr.; his sisters, Mary Vaughn (Ricky) and Angela O’Neal; sisters-in-law, Jessie Hicks and Jean Devonshire (Robert), brother-in-law, Jerry Coleman (Lisa); his aunt (2nd Mom), Retha O’Neal, Gloria Capehart (Joe); uncle John "Junior" O’Neal (Debbie); stepchildren, Shantelle Coleman (Catoya), Mario Bennett (Porcsha) and Levontae Bennett of whom he helped raised as his own; grand-children, Ronnerry Fell, Jr.; step-grands, Avianna Bennett, Levontae Bennett Jr., Amari-Blu Bennett, Hayden Bennett, Xavier Bennett, and Leilani Bennett; and a host of  nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Capehart and grandmother, Martha (Grannie) O’Neal;  Ray will be missed by special nieces who he held dear, Utopia Wilson (Jeffrey), Sheleda Hicks (LaSanchez), La’Quinta Vaughn (Lashonda) & Ashanti (Shayy) Clyde (Jermaine)  He will also be missed by special friends Eric Davis (Katie) & Rick Beasley (Nicole), Randy Scantley (Melissa), Al Singleton, Roger Owens, Darryll Christopher (Karen), David Thompkins, Dale Brown (Jessica) & Marcus (Miguel) Walker.
