Ples Johnson Obituary

Ples to some but to those who affectionately knew him “PJ” or “AJ Boyy” was born on April 23, 1976, to Alice Johnson and Eric Smith. He was raised in Dade City, Fl. where he attended Pasco County Schools. He received his high school diploma from the State of Florida. PJ had a raw talent for Graphic Designs and a love for music. His most prize accomplishment was becoming a father to his only child, Sir Ples Amell Raymond Johnson. If you knew PJ, you could count on a good laugh. You never knew what he was going to say or even how to respond. He knew no strangers, and you could walk away with knowledge and wisdom from that conversation. On January 6, 2022 God allowed His angel to come down to earth and close the eyes of one of his servants and carried him home to his eternal rest. He was preceded in death by an aunt, Linda Bush; an uncle, Willie Sanders, and a brother, Lemarkis Hammond. He leaves many loved ones to cherish his memory: Mother, Alice Johnson, of Dade City, FL; Father, Eric Smith of Fort Lauderdale, FL; His only child, Sir Ples Amell Raymond Johnson of Dade City, FL; the mother of his only child and longtime companion, Kelly Peacock of Dade City, FL; four brothers, Edward Johnson (Tequila), Andre Hammond Sr. (Charlon), Roger Smith and Heddrick Smith all of Dade City, FL; Two sisters, Tiffany Hammond of Dade City, FL, Ayrica Smith of Fort Lauderdale, FL; Four aunts, Geneva Martin and Shirley Archie of Tchula, MS, Mary Hatcher of New York, NY, and Melvina Archie-Anderson (Guy) of Chicago and a host of sorrowing family and friends.
