Sister Patricia Althea Walton-Hunter was born on July 22, 1949 to the union of the Late Robert Walton Sr. and the Late Mother Oicer Solomon, in Sarasota, Florida. She was a graduate of Booker High School in Sarasota, FL and class of 1968. Patricia worked at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota, Florida as a Private Events Coordinator for many years. She coordinated many fancy weddings and thoroughly enjoyed her career. Patricia relocated to Dade City, FL and began a new life.  Before her retirement she worked for Heartland of Zephyrhills in the Dietary department for many years.  Also through her job she met and married the love of her life, Brother Anthony Hunter (deceased). She joined Church of God in Christ, Dade City under the leadership of Superintendent Mitchell Davis, Jr. Patricia served in many areas of the church to include; the Culinary Staff, the Senior Choir and decorating the church for programs and events. Later on, she moved to Bradenton, Florida and became a member of Bryant Chapel CME Church of Tallevast, Florida under the leadership of Reverend Anthony Langhorne. She served as the President of the Lay Board, Secretary of the Board of Christian Education and Commission on Membership and Evangelism, until her health begin to fail. She was affectionately known to many as “Pat” or a long time family name as “Beeky”. Patricia never met a stranger, no matter where she was. If you knew her, you could count on a good laugh. She loved her family, friends, and people in general. She always had an open door, open arms and open ears. Patricia was well known for her quick wit and take charge attitude. She really enjoyed hosting and cooking big meals for her family and friends. Her kitchen was always open. She was a woman of many hats. She could grill, fish, she had a green thumb, and could create beautiful floral arrangements. She could make things old, look new. She was very creative and talented. She loved her two dogs, Lexus and Cosmo and she loved to spoil her grandchildren. Needless to say, she was a bright light, a wonderful daughter, an amazing sister, a loving mother, wife, and grandmother.
