Pastor Rodney Gerald Williams was born on October 13, 1975 at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Dade City, Florida to Jacquelyn Hives and Ellis Williams. Pastor Williams gave his life to Christ at the age of 14. He studied under the leadership of Pastor Steve Andrews at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. He later united with Pastor Allen Wilkett at Life’s Harbor and then as the Pastor of his church, Temple of Faith. Rodney went above and beyond, not only preaching the word of God, but as a great teacher. He made it his mission to open the hearts and minds of those seeking spiritual guidance. Rodney loved working out. He was a proud State Champion Weight Lifter at Pasco High School and pursued a certification at Remington College as a Personal Trainer. For the past 10 years, he was a dedicated and respected employee at North Tampa Behavioral Health Tech, Handle with Care Trainer, and finally a Milieu Coordinator. Rodney was preceded in death by: his father, Ellis Williams; and his grandmothers, Geraldine Hives and Doris Harrold. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Williams; children, Rodney Williams Jr., Ladarius Driver, Vanessa Williams, Latavius Driver, Janice Williams, Lacquez Driver, and Ladaja Driver; his mother, Jacqueline Hives Freeman; step mother, Lori Williams; brothers, Tony Williams, Martez Williams, Ja’Ron Williams, Jace Williams; sisters, Khara Morrell, Kiara Williams, and Camryn Williams; 8 grandchildren; and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
