Anthony Jerome Valentine passed unexpectedly from life unto death on September 28, 2022 in his home in New Port Richey, Florida at the age of 69. He was the first born son of the union of June and Jurry Valentine born February 16, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois. He was affectionately nicknamed “Tony”. He was predeceased by his parents June and Jurry Valentine, his grandmother Rosa Lee Jordan and his grandfather Larry B. Nesbitt.He leaves behind his loving wife, Bernidine, of 31 years, his sons Christopher Fletcher, Dante’ [Patricia] Valentine, AJ [Lisa] Valentine and his daughter Andrea [Marquis] Landon; his grandchildren Deshawn[Amanda] Gregory, Alivia, Lorenzo, Camila, Ronan, Olivia, Nolan, Valerie, Calvin and Ruby; his great grandchildren Noah and Scarlett, his siblings Sherri Caldwell, Debra [Timothy] Brown, Michelle [Robert] Odoms, Denise [Grover] Reynolds, Jurry Taalib-Deen, Katreece (Emmit) Hixson, Honorary Brother [uncle] Richard Nesbitt, Honorary Sister [cousin] Yvetta Cook, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He attended high school at Maumee Valley Country Day school in Ohio where he participated and won the State Wrestling Championship.He attended Wooster College in Wooster, Ohio and the University of Boston in Boston, Massachusetts. As much as he loved education, he had the heart of an entrepreneur, and in this arena he was an innovator. His businesses included a teen nightclub, non-medical transportation for seniors, computer repair specialist, music and voice instructor, and real estate acquisition, just to name a few. Moreover, people often turned to him for support and consultation in these areas. Tony was a talented musician who wrote, composed, and orchestrated many songs about the people he loved and the happenings in the world. His talent earned him the title of Minister of Music for several churches in Ohio, Georgia, and Florida. Moreover, he formed the gospel group the Tri-County Chorale. Tony, you are missed so much and the world was a better place with you in it. We are sad without you, but we know heaven is rejoicing because one of its Saints has come home.
