Ms. Joanne Bloodsworth was born November 21, 1951 in Tifton, Georgia, to the late Eddie Bloodsworth and the late Vera Mae Garrison. She received her formal education in the school system of Georgia. She later relocated to Florida, graduating from Pasco High School. Joanne was a member of New Bethel A.M.E Church, Lacoochee, Florida, where she served faithfully until her health began to fail. Joanne enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, while making lasting memories. She was a fun and very loving person who will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by: her parents; and her sons, Anthony Robinson and James Thompson; sisters, Linda Wheeler and Lennie Mae Bloodsworth; brother, James Edward Bloodsworth; and nephew, Eddie Bernard Bloodsworth. On Thursday May 28, 2026 God called her home to rest. Joanne leaves cherished memories with: her loving and devoted children, Iris Montgomery (Michael), Extavia Bloodsworth, Baron Bloodsworth (Adrienne), and Erica Bloodsworth (Derrick Batson); grandchildren, Antwon Story, David Emmanuel, Phillip Thompson, James Thompson, Jr., Alexis Trujillo, Ariele Smalls, Noah Thompson, James Hambrick, Monyette Montgomery, Tabria James, Janiya Daniels, Taniya Bloodsworth, Jermaine Bloodsworth, Earvin Bailey, and Seantearra Singleton; great grandchildren, Londyn Bloodsworth, Chloe Wilson, Jhmar Hambrick, Jeniyah Story, Jay’Den Story, Avianah Story, Damarion Story, Ariyah Story, Zayne Story, Laila Smalls, Lainee Smalls, Landen Smalls, Phillip Shaquille Thompson, Jr., E'Li' Soli Thompson, Juele Emmanuel, and Isaias Emmanuel; sister, Linda Extavia Clayton; brother, Eddie Bloodsworth; niece, Angela Bloodsworth Williams; cousin, Lucybell Clemons; nephew, Bernard Bloodsworth; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.
