Ms. Dorothy Mae Blackmon, ''Dot'', was born June 30, 1938, in San Antonio, Florida and raised by her loving parents, the late Walter and Lela Grover. Dorothy. ''Dot'' graduated from Moore Academy in 1957, and started towards obtaining a college degree at Pasco- Hernando Community College. Dorothy, a pillar in her community, dedicated her time providing services to the housing communities of Pasco County Florida. Within her adult life, Dorothy held a delegated democratic seat for council. She retired from Pasco County Transportation, where she took great pleasure and the noble role of monitoring students with special needs. Sister Dorothy Mae Blackmon was baptized at an early age and eventually solidified her membership to Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church of Lacoochee, Florida as well as a songster of the choir and was always one to be found loving and praising God. Amidst many of Dorothy's passions and interests, she LOVED fishing and singing all types of genres of music to her family and enjoyed dancing like no tomorrow. Dorothy was gifted with a green thumb which was expressed with the growth of flowers.  She was known to have a magnetic and enchanting affection personality. She was always available for family and friends with a listening ear and heart. Dorothy was preceded in death by: her biological mother, Mattie Davis; her sister, Emma Green; her brother, Sonny McMillian; and an incredibly special friend, Horace Blackmon. She is survived by: her sister, Debra Ann Davis; her children, Letitia Emmanuel (Dennis), Anthony Andra Grover (Sugey), Darlene Blackmon, Horace Blackmon, Lela Theresa Ramsey, and a special daughter, Cynthia Grover; loving grandchildren, Ya'Kela Ingham (David), Kendall Emmanuel (Kim), Anthony Perez, Gabriel Blackmon, Deven Blackmon, Teri Malone (Rodrick), Keston Emmanuel (Catlin), Katori Weeks (Johnny), Anthony Grover Jr., Steven Axcius, Arsenio Roberts, Britney Blackmon, Trent Blackmon, Sebastian Hincapie, and Jeronimo Jacome; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, great grandchildren, cherished friends, and care-giver, Lisa Brown.
