Terri Jan Holmes was born January 16, 1962 in Hamilton, New York to the late Raymond Dorr and the late Janet Dorr. At a young age Terri and family moved to Florida where she met and made many friends. Terri received her formal education through the Pasco County School System graduating from Zephyrhills High School. She was the beloved, third child of four children. Terri led a fulfilling life as a devoted sister, grandmother, daughter, wife, mother, aunt, cousin, and a friend to many. Terri had an ability to bring joy and laughter to everyone around her. She found great peace in making baskets, a gentle craft that reflected her patience, creativity, and love of simple beauty. Terri’s unwavering support for anyone in need will forever live on. Her strength and courage inspired everyone around her. She was the light in the darkness for many, offering hope, compassion, and steady support to those in need. Known to many as “Mrs. T-Bone,” she earned the nickname through her fierce ways and unwavering resolve. Terri had a deep love for making baskets and crafting, and she also enjoyed swimming, reading, fishing and creating beautiful charcuterie boards. She was well known for her roast dish, which family and friends fondly remember. Terri worked in communications at Comcast from 2011 until her passing. On Friday, January 2, 2026, Terri departed from her earthly home after a battle with Cancer surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by: her parents; mother-in-law, Bobbie Gayle Philyaw; and grandson, Patrick Nelson.
