Mrs. Adarin L. Hayes

Adarin L. Hayes was born May 21. 1935 in Holopaw. Florida, to the late Fred and Estell McWaters. Adarin was a longtime resident of Lacoochee, Florida. Adarin leamed from an early age, the value of hard work, family, and caring for others. Those values became the foundation of a life that touched countless people and generations. For 19 years, Adarin faithfilly served in the cafeteria at Saint Leo University, where she worked alongside the St. Leo Nuns. She was known for her dedication, kindness and servant's heart, and by touching the lives of studens, faculty, and friends throughout her years there. Adarin spent her life caring for others. Whether it was family, friends, neighbors, or her animals, she always found a way to give of herself. Her strength, compassion, resilience, and unwavering love reflected the qualities of a true Proverbs 31 woman. She was a devoted mother whose love, guidance, and strength shaped the lives of her family. Her greatest joy was her family. Her remarkable legacy continues to grow as the family eagerly awaits the birth of her first great-great-great-grandchild this month, a blessing that would have brought her tremendous joy. Adarin was preceded in death by; her beloved husband, James Mitchell "Dockie" Hayes; her sons, Mitchell Hayes and Ricky Hayes: 2 grandchildren, Rebecca Hayes and Janna Gollday; her brothers, Benny McWaters, Cassidy McWaters, and Don L "Buddy" McWaters; her sisters, Wilma Berry and Shelby Woods. On Saturday May 30, 2026, Adarin passed peacefilly into the presence of her Lord and Savior, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, strength, and service. Adarin leaves behind cherished memories with: her children, Gail Rodriguez, Joseph Hayes, and Ethan Hayes; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren; her loving sisters, “Eva” Bootsy Smith and Jeanette Brock, whose lives were forever enriched by their bond with her, and a host of nieces nephews cousin, and other sorrowing relatives and friends. While her family mourns her passing, they find comfort in knowing she is reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her and is resting in the eternal peace of her Savior. Her life was a testament of faith, perseverance, sacrifice, and unconditional love. The seeds she planted in the lives of her family will continue to bear fruit for generations to come.
