Mr. Willie D. Smith affectionately known to many as “Mr. Kool” and “Mr. Good” was born February 16, 1941 in Dade City, Florida to the late Charlie and Annie Mae Smith. Mr. Smith attended the public school system of Pasco County, where he met and made many friends. He loved life and lived its fullest. “Mr. Kool” loved spending time with family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him dearly. Mr. Smith worked various jobs throughout his life. He was a member of One Step at a Time Holy Ghost Filled Ministries in Bushnell, Florida under the leadership of Pastor Johnny Gaddy. On Wednesday, January 7, 2026, God called Mr. Smith home to rest. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by: his parents; sister, Nina Mae Thomas and Annie Pearl Smith; brother-in-law, Emory Thomas; and a brother, Charlie Smith. He is survived by 3 nephews, Kevin Smith and Warren Smith both of Dade City, Florida, and Anthony Thomas of Rochester, New York; 2 great-nieces, Michelle Linton of Rochester, New York and Angel Brown of Washington, DC; a special caregiver, Catina Gaddy; a special friend, Eunice Penix; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and sorrowing friends.
