Mr. Justin Gerome Davis

Justin Gerome Davis was born July 29, 1985, in Birmingham, Alabama, to the late Clarence Jackson and Margaret Davis. Justin received his formal education through the Montgomery City School System.  Justin graduated from George Washington High School, class of 2003.  On July 28, 2014, he married the love of his life and best friend, Ashley Waddy.  Justin was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend who's presence brought warmth, comfort, and strength to all who knew him.  Their marriage was a true partnership marked by loyalty, laughter, and unwavering devotion.  His deep love for Ashley, their sons, and their beloved dog, Maddie, was evident in every part of his life.  Justin was a man of exceptional skill and remarkable versatility, working across multiple trades throughout his life.  Whether it was carpentry, electrical work, CDL driving, or mechanical repair, he had an innate talent for building, fixing, and solving problems with ease.  His hands were steady, his patience unwavering, and he mastered a wide variety of hand and power tools—so much so that his son lovingly nicknamed him, “Bob the Builder.”  He was most recently employed as a carpenter with John Cavalier Construction, where he was deeply appreciated, not only for the quality of his craftsmanship, but also for his good-natured spirit and the positive energy he bought to every job site.  Justin found his greatest joy in spending time with family and friends. Whether sharing stories, enjoying simple moments at home, or offering a comforting word, he had a unique ability to make others feel seen, supported, and uplifted.  His humor, kindness, and presence were gifts he shared generously.  Justin was called home to eternal rest, suddenly on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jonathan Dingler and Clarence Jackson, Jr.   Justin leaves to mourn his passing and celebrate his life: a devoted wife, Ashley Davis; sons, Malachi Billups and Cedric Jackson, Jr.; mother, Margaret Davis; sisters, Angel Davis, Kesi Patrick (Bobby), and Jakeira Jackson; brother, Shomari Lewis; sister-in-law, Kelly Dingler; father-in-love, Samuel Waddy (Cynthia); brothers in love, Charles Waddy, Farrell Inmon (Cheyenne), and Joshua Waddy; sister-in- love, Adrianne Roberts; first nephew, Christopher Davis; longtime friend/brother, James Perry; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other sorrowing relatives and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
