Mr. Brien Sampson Obituary

Brien Keith Sampson, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025. Born to Dorothy A Sampson-Franklin and Bernard Shoemake on February 10, 1971, in Dade City, Florida, Brien was known for his strength, generosity, integrity and unwavering love for his family and community.  A proud graduate of Pasco High School, Brien went on to become a dedicated entrepreneur, investing his energy into projects that brought people together. He had a gift for creating vibrant, memorable events and took great pride in hosting and promoting social gatherings that reflected his passion for life, music, travel, and connection.  Brien found joy in the simple pleasures of life — spending time with his loved ones, watching sports, and sharing laughter with dear friends. His warmth and magnetic personality touched all who knew him. He held a special place in his heart for his longtime friends, Conswella Brown and Harmon Bing, whose friendship enriched his life in countless ways.  Brien is survived by: his devoted mother, Dorothy S. Franklin; his cherished and most beloved daughters, Bre’Ajah Sampson and G’Anah Sampson; his brothers, Algernon Sampson, Damitrious Shoemake and Cleon Solomon; siblings in love, Pamela Pugh, and Stacey Felder; and his treasured grandchildren, Ny’zir Sampson and Ny’ajah Sampson; his uncle and aunt, James Earl Sampson Sr. and Mary Sampson; his aunt, Ollie Sampson; and a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, cousins, and many weeping loved ones. He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Shoemake; his grandparents, Robert Sr. and Mary Sampson; his uncle, Robert Sampson Jr; his aunt, Geneva Lamont;  his niece, A’nijah Solomon; and cousins, Derrick Sampson, James Earl Sampson Jr, Shane Sampson, Cheryl Rooks; and other dearly departed loved ones.   Brien’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and community.. Though he never sought the spotlight, his absence leaves a space that can never be filled. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
