Mother Dora Mae Mitchell

Mother Dora M. Mitchell was born June 6, 1929 to the late Pearl McCall and Charlie Morast in Atmore, Mississippi. Mother Dora graduated from Moore Mickens (Adult) High School. She proudly served as a Moore Mickens Cafeteria (Cook) staff member for many years. She served as a faithful member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church as a member of Choir #1, a Recording Secretary for Business Meetings, Elevator Operator, picked up mail for the church, and assisted Sister Irene Rodgers in the Finance room. Mother Dora also served as a faithful Eastern Star Member. Mother Dora was called home to rest on April 17, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, RB Mitchell; her daughter, Helen Mitchell; her son, Lewis Mitchell; and her daughter, Dedra Mitchell. Her life and legacy will live on through her loving sons: Ronald Mitchell (Rita) and Milton Mitchell (Sara); her loving daughters, Sonja Mitchell and Beverly Mitchell; her loving brother, Lewis W.
