Minister Ronald Stewart, Sr. Obituary

Ronald Wayne Stewart, Sr., lovingly known as “Ronnie,” "Big Bad Ron," "McKowski," "Cat Daddy," and "Deac," left his earthly journey on March 4, 2024. He was born on December 28, 1950, to his late parents, Walter McCullough, and Elsie Mae McCullough, and joined his beloved wife, Sallie Stewart, in eternal rest..  Throughout his life, Ronnie found fulfillment in various roles. He served as a dedicated truck driver for Rinker, also known as Florida Rock, until his well-deserved retirement. He was a devout member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as a Deacon and Minister. Ronald's passion for music led him to sing joyfully in the church choir, and spreading his love for God through song.  In his leisure time, Ronnie pursued his hobbies with enthusiasm. He found solace in the great outdoors through fishing and hunting, and he was an avid supporter of sports teams, particularly the Miami Dolphins, Florida State Seminoles, and Orlando Magic. He also enjoyed friendly games of spades, where his competitive spirit shone brightly.  Above all, Ronnie cherished moments spent with his cherished family and friends. He was known for his exceptional talent on the grill, delighting loved ones with his barbeque skills and warm hospitality. Ronald's life was significantly extended by a heart transplant, a testament to the importance of organ donation. In honor of Minister Ronald Stewart, Sr., the family humbly requests that you consider giving the gift of life by becoming an organ donor.  Ronnie leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith. Though he may have departed this world, his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He was a devoted father to his children: Arimene Leggett, Keith Stewart (Renee), and Ronald Stewart, Jr. (Patricia). Ronald was a pillar of strength and guidance to his family, and his presence will be profoundly missed. In addition to his children, Ronald is survived by his siblings: Lurease Althea Bailey (Terry), David McCullough (Doris), Kenneth Gary McCullough (Charlotte), and Steven McCullough, Sr. (Tonya). His memory will also be cherished by a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
