Marie (Skipper) Croft Cavins was born on November 6, 1943, in Roanoke Rapids,North Carolina. She retired from Publix and always spoke fondly of the many friendships she made from co-workers and customers. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.Preceded in death by her parents, she was the only child of Carter (Briggs) Croft and Vernon (Uncle Snap)Croft; son, Lewis Antoine (Tony) Martin passed away this June; cousin, E. Franklin (Frankie) Croft, also went to heaven this year. She is survived by her daughter, Gail Fisher and son-in-law, Tom Fisher; 3 granddaughters, Amanda Fisher Brant, Kelsey Fisher and Hali Fisher Harris; 6 great-grandchildren; McKenzi, Mason, Carter, Abigail, Stella and Joshua; cousins Darwin (Myra) Croft of Dade City, Lisa Briggs Lloyd, Junie Marie Briggs and Debbie Briggs Archer, all of North Carolina; daughter-in-law Karen Jo Cole Martin of Adger, Alabama, and the host of relatives and friends.
