Mara Lynn Henry

Mara Lynn  Henry was born August 26, 1955, to the Late Ethel McClendon.  She attended Pasco Comprehensive High School and graduated in 1973.  She attended the University of South Florida and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice.  Lynn worked for Hillsborough County Government as a Rehabilitation Counselor Assistant where she assisted ex-prison inmates transitioning back into the workforce.  Lynn later moved to Washington D.C. where she worked as a Counselor at Saint Elizabeth Hospital, for people with mental illness.  She retired from the George Washington University in 2002 after 25 years of service as a Claims Administrator.  After retiring she immediately moved back to Florida.  Her heart was always to take care of her parents, Lawrence, and Ethel McClendon.  After their passing, Mara and Yvonne continued to keep fresh flowers on their graves.  Lynn was a faithful member of Mt. Calvary Seventh Day Adventist Church in Tampa, FL.  Lynn loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed life to the fullest.  On Sunday, October 18, 2020, God closed her loving eyes and whispered, "Peace Be Thine".  She will be greatly missed by her loving and devoted sister, Yvonne Arnold (Chucky) of Atlanta, Georgia.  She also leaves to cherish her memory, her sister, Denise Harris (Ira); a brother, Charles McClendon (Tonya); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the family has elected to host the Funeral Services for Mara L. Henry on the funeral home grounds on Sunday, November 1st at 2 PM.  We ask that everyone in attendance please wear a mask and please use social distancing.   For those who would like to sit, please bring a chair due to a limited amount of chairs available.
