Laverne Lee Obituary

Laverne Brooks Lee, affectionately known to many as "Lady Red", was born on November 26, 1955 to the Late Richard and Martha Brooks in Homosassa, Florida.  She attended school from kindergarten to sixth grade at Booker T. Washington followed by Crystal River Middle and High School.  Laverne met and married Enoch Lee Jr from Waycross, Georgia on November 26, 1977.  Laverene worked many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  Laverne attended worship services at Unity of Christ Written in Heaven for many years. Laverne was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Ida Mae Brooks, Lola Gainer, Irene Simmons, Dorothy Carter, Vileatha Owens, Lillian Oliver and  Dora Mae  Hollis; brothers, Charlie Brooks, Leon Brooks, Earl Brooks, Mack Charles Brooks and Richard Lee Brooks.  On Thursday, July 30, God called Laverne home to rest.   Laverne leaves to mourn her death: two daughters, Catrice Patterson (Timothy) and Debra Lee; one son, Strother  Natteal IV (Mae);  sisters, Leather Ruiz, and Faye Brooks; brother, Charles Brooks (Ida), whom was like a 2nd father to her; seven grandchildren, Neal Natteal, Marya Natteal, Strother Natteal V, Jessica Patterson, Oneal Patterson, Jasmine, Gina Bivins, Jaheim Patterson and Rhianna Shank; and her companion, David Harrison; sisters-in-law, Berta Brooks, Myra Brooks and Elouise Brooks; brother-in-law, Daniel Gainer; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other sorrowing relatives and friends. 

*Visitation: Due to the pandemic of Coronavirus, social distancing will be practiced during visitation hours.  Milton Funeral Home staff asks everyone who visits during visitation hours, to please wear masks when entering the funeral home.  There will be no gathering of family and friends at the funeral home.  Once individuals have viewed the remains, we ask that everyone return to your vehicles as you prepare to leave the premises.  If you are sick, we ask that you not attend any services.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation!

*Funeral Ceremony: Due to the recent numbers of the Coronavirus pandemic, seating will be limited during funeral services.  Please correspond with immediate family members to get seating limitations as each church seating will differ.    Upon the approval of the family, there will be a "live streaming" on the Milton Funeral Home Facebook page.  We thank you for your cooperation and we do understand that these new guidelines may cause inconveniences to all!
