Jerome Lester Fields was born January 16, 1951, to the Late John Charles O’Neal Sr. and Lucille Fields in Otter Creek, Florida. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Juanita Brown and Betty Fields. Jerome was a very hard working man, to say the least. Jerome’s employment includes The Pasco County Sheriff Office for several years, working his way up the ranks to Sergeant Fields. He also worked at Florida National Cemetery for several years. He later began his own tree service business for a while. Later, he started a stripping, waxing and cleaning service business which he loved doing. He also worked at James A. Haley Veterans Hospital as a Floor Technician retiring January 31, 2013. Jerome knew and loved the Lord and he accepted the Lord as his Personal Savior early in years and later joined Mt. Pisgah AME Church, Webster, Florida where he loved and worshipped until his health began to fail. Jerome leaves to cherish precious memories: a loving wife, Sandra Fields of Dade City, Florida; one daughter, Deanna Fields Williams of Tampa, Florida; 4 sons, Leroy Christopher (Vicki) of Dade City, Darryl Christopher (Karen) of Altamonte Springs, Florida, Rafi S. Reavis of Manila, Philippines and Camron Craig of Dade City, Florida; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Shirley Butler of Ocala, Florida and Retha Booth of Columbus, Georgia; 1 brother, John Charles O’Neal, Jr. (Debbie) of Orlando, Florida; 2 brothers-in-law, Arthur Brundidge (Charmen) of Tampa, Florida and Tony Brundidge of Odessa, Texas; close friends, Bernard Thompson, John Henry, Jimmy Missouri and Laura M. Thomas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
