Ivory Joe Hunter was born April 20, 1934 in Bradenton, Florida to the Late William Ivory Hunter and Alma Louise Faye Byrd. Ivory Joe received his formal education at Moore Academy in Dade City, Florida. He married Martha Ann Lamar on April 7, 1951 in Dade City, Florida and added to this union were two children, Ivory Joe Hunter Jr. (who preceded him in death) and Alvie Jean Hunter. Ivory Joe relocated his family to Levittown, Pennsylvania in 1957. Ivory Joe was a hard worker and a natural born leader. He attained many talents and skills, which he loved learning new things and sharing his knowledge with others who knew him. He was a great role model and pillar of his community. Ivory Joe later married Frances Walker. She loved and cared for him faithfully until he made his transition on July 17, 2018. He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving wife, Frances Walker-Hunter; daughter, Alvie Jean Hunter-Hudson (James); daughter-in-law, Brenda Hunter; niece/daughter, Alma Kirkland; brother, Phillip Hunter; nine grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
