Obituary

Howard Leon Bridgeman was born in East Chicago, Indiana on May 27, 1941 to Hosea Lee and Virginia Bridgeman. Howard played football for East Chicago Washington High School where he graduated. He met and married his wife of 50 years, Rev. Josie Bridgeman.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy, and worked at Indiana Forge Steel Mill. Howard also drove truck and worked at Advanced Aluminum Recycling.  On Monday, February 28. 2022 in Zephyrhills, Florida.  Howard was proceeded in death by his parents, Hosea Lee Bridgeman and Virginia Mannie Bridgeman; his sisters, Lousie Gibbs, Joan Harris, Diane Bridgeman, Annice Williams, and Emma Humphrey;  two brothers, Earl Bridgeman and Hosea Lee Bridgeman Jr.; and one great-granddaughter, Stori Sherrell Bridgeman.  He leaves to mourn: his wife, Josie M. Bridgeman of Zephyrhills, Florida; one sister, Ocie Flynn of East Chicago, Indiana; four children, Charley Bridgeman and wife, Tony Bridgeman of Indianapolis, Indiana, Crystal L Pearson and husband, Dwayne Pearson of Zephyrhills, Florida, Keith Ford of Kentucky and Sheila Ford of Las Vegas, Navada; 8 grandchildren, Faynavia Henery, Quintarian Brown, Marques Bridgeman, Malcom Bridgeman, Parnell Tolbert, Nathaniel Cole, Latoshia Lawrence, and Theodore Cole; 5 great-grandchildren, Alayshia Henry, Tremayne Henry, Tremaya Henry, Treaden Henry and Celeste Tolbert; one great-great-granddaughter, Armani Lynn Henry; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends

 

 

*Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have implemented necessary procedures during Visitations, Funeral Ceremonies, Gravesides, and other public and private ceremonies.  We do ask that all visitors of these services to please continue to wear your masks and please remember to social distance.  These new policies may be inconvenient, but due to the severity of the virus, we ask that everyone be considerate, patient, and safe with others as we try to get through this most difficult time.  Seating during services may be limited so please be considerate of the immediate family especially.  

*If you are attending a Graveside service or an Outdoor Celebration you are welcomed to bring your own chair as seating will be limited!  We will provide water to make everyone as comfortable as possible.  We thank you in advance for your cooperation during this time. We pray that everyone stays safe and cooperative with the current CDC rules.
