Helen Juanita Calhoun, was born May 22, 1949 in Dade City, Florida to the late Robert and Lillian Calhoun Sr. Helen graduated from Moore Mickens High School, after attending the Job Corp program, Helen continued to further her education. She also worked as a Secretary for the Pasco County School Board for over 30 years. Hellen met and made many lasting friendships in the Pasco County area. She worked diligently in her community throughout the years. She was a part of many different organizations, Alpha Pi Chi, Red Hat Society, and Lady of Elegance. Helen was a devoted church member of Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Dade City, where she wore many hats and contributed to whatever she could do to upbuild the Kingdom. Helen was preceded in death by her 2 sons, Cedric Calhoun, Sr. and Rudolph Hicks. Jr.; and her sister, Sylvia Camelien. Helen passed away peacefully on Friday, December 22, 2023. Helen is survived by her 4 grandchildren, Antionette Harrison (Joey) of Poinciana, FL, Cedric Calhoun, Jr. (Kali) of Dade City, FL, Shi-mon Hicks and Lyn'Neyah Hicks both of Brooksville, FL; 2 great grandchildren; one brother, Robert Calhoun, Jr. of Zephyrhills, FL (Sherry); a host of god children; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and several best friends.
