Evelyn Bonita Holmes of Dade City, Florida went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 30, 2020. Evelyn was born May 8, 1951 in Dade City, Florida to Arremetta and Junior Lee Davis whom have both preceded her in death. Evelyn graduated from Mickens High School. She later married the love of her life, Harvey James Holmes on June 11, 1966. She began working at Jackson Memorial Hospital in the Environmental Service Department and later retired, due to health conditions. “Dooley” as she was affectionately called, accepted Christ in her life at an early age and later became the Church Mother of Living Waters United Church under the leadership of Pastor Deundrick Reed. “Dooley” was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Holmes and one son, Tony Davis. She leaves to cherish her loving and precious memories: three daughters, Yolanda Howell (Theo) of Spring Hill, FL, Tracy Tucker (Terrence) of Zephyrhills, FL and Adrienne Holmes of Dade City, FL; one son-in-law, Melvin Tucker of Dade City, FL; two sisters, Sarah Davis of Dade City, FL and Johnice Bell of Norfolk, Virginia; two brothers, Johnathan Davis of Dade City, FL and Willie Bo Bradberry of Dade City, FL; nine grandchildren, Chamonic Howell (Brian), Joel Steele III (Wislynn), Gregory Harrison Jr. (Nicole), Shareka Harrison, Nathaniel Howell III, Octavia Harrison Jr., Nathan Howell (Jana Joy), Meluntra Wilson (Dominque) and Mellisha Tucker (Daniel); nineteen great grandchildren; Tarviah, Taliyah, Lidwon, Taniylah, Eugene, Toni, Anna’Rose, Nathaniel, Nya Noel, Maximus James, Nathan Jr. Jalyn, Joziah, Dominque, Erielle, Amariah, Latavia, Etrinity, and Jaquez; seven nieces and nephews, Rolisa Roberts, Oretha Davis, Sarah Stewart, Thomas Mention, John Davis, Kiauna Izliah and Johnathan Davis; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.
