Evangelist Jesse Mae Hicks was born September 5, 1954 in Sledge, Mississippi to the late Willie B. Coleman and Johnny Mae Wiggins later nurtured and raised by the Late John H. Wiggins. As a young girl, her family relocated to Dade City, Florida. She attended Moore Mickens School and received an Associate degree from Pasco Hernando College of Dade City, Florida. Evangelist Hicks worked for Lykes Pasco Fruit Packing Company briefly, and later transitioned as secretary for a Law Firm. She found her calling with the Department of Children and Families, where she worked for over 30 years, until her retirement. Evangelist Hicks loved the Lord and accepted him as her Personal Savior many years ago. She began her journey as a member of New Life Family Church in Christ, under the leadership of Bishop Jesse B. McClendon. She later became a devoted member of Damascus Mission Faith Outreach Church, under the leadership of the late Pastor Dr. Genevieve Spears. She served alongside Pastor Robert Badger as Assistant Pastor for over 13 years. Evangelist Hicks was dedicated to spreading the gospel and praying for family and friends.
