Elaine Elizabeth Wilson

Elaine Elizabeth Wilson, affectionately known as “Laine” to many,  was born April 1, 1959 in Dade City, FL at Jackson Memorial Hospital to the late Willie D. & Annie Mae Wilson.  Elaine received her formal education from the Pasco County public school system. She married and embraced a fulfilling life of motherhood. Elaine dedicated many years to Lykes Pasco Packing and Saddlebrook Resort before settling in the Residential Care Field. She worked at Well Spring Assisted Living and retired from Sunbelt HealthCare Center in 2006.  Upon retirement, Elaine devoted her undivided love, care, and attention to being a full time stay at home grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved thrift store shopping and had a true passion for decorating. Because of Elaine’s nurturing heart, her home was always filled with love and she made everyone feel welcome upon entry. Her green thumb kept flowers in bloom and  her cooking was in a league of … it’s own!  A lifelong resident of Dade City, Elaine met and made many lasting friendships.  She was preceded in death by her parents;  brothers, Ernest, William, and  Willie Wilson;   sisters, Linda Sue Pearson and Mary Ann Wilson; her very first grandchild, Jermarkus Le’anta Wilson; and her great-granddaughter, Ja’nyla Wilson.  On Friday, August 2, 2024, God called Elaine to her eternal rest.  Elaine leaves to cherish her memories: 5 loving children, Falina Tanyaa Wilson,  Mondary Hicks Sr. (Julie),  Anthony Lamar Wilson Sr.,  Samuel Gant Jr., and  Deandre Gant Sr.; 22 grandchildren, Alex,  Amiyah,  Anaria,  Anthony Jr.,  Ari’aya,  C’Andrea, Christopher,  Daniha,  Datayviohn,  Deandre Jr.,  Deon,  Diamond,  Jaiden,  Markis,  Messiah,  Mondary Jr., Samaria,  Samuel III,  Saniya, Shermar,  Steven, and Trenton;  9 great-grandchildren, Harmony,  Jermarkus Jr., Justice,  Journee,  Kylan,  Lola,  Nakyla,  Shermar Jr.,  Trenton Jr.,  and Trinity. Brother; Willie James,  sisters, Sylvia Dixon Ansley husband, Willie Earl Ansley and Willow Wilson; former spouses, Eugene Hicks and  Samuel Gant Sr.;  A Special Friend,  Mr. Calvin Reed;  god-daughters, Nekiah and Latoya;  lifelong friend girls, Ida Mae Graham,  Gayle Jefferson,  and Phyllis Haynes.  Elaine is also survived by a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and  friends.
