Eddie Carr Obituary

On August 23, 2020 God called Eddie Joe's name and she took his hand and left it all.  Eddie Joe  was born on April 26, 1938 to the union of James and Bertha Henry in Clarksdale, Mississippi.  Eddie Joe attended the public school system of Clarksdale.  In 1957, Eddie Joe met and married ML Carr and to this union three children were born; Sharon, Angela and Antoine.  In 1966, Eddie Joe moved to Florida where she acquired a job at Lykes Pasco fruit packing company.  Eddie Joe worked there until her retirement.  Eddie Joe joined Dade City Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor Mitchell Davis Jr., where she served as a faithful usher until her illness.  After her illness, she occasionally attended church with her daughter at Glorious Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor Phillip Williams. Eddie Joe was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, James Henry Jr.; her sister, Eunice Brown; and her daughter Sharon Carr.  She leaves to cherish her memory: a daughter, Angela Daniels (Timothy) of Dade City, FL; a son, Antoine Carr (Rachel) of St. Petersburg, FL; sisters, Mildred Moore (Neal) of Alsfit, Illinois, Susan Henry of Richmond, Virginia, Clementine Johnson (Herbert) of Clarksdale, Mississippi, Elizabeth Henry of Mississippi, Alyce Henry of Mississippi and Vanessa Rosebur of Hattiesburg, Mississippi;  seven grandchildren, Arlette, Kinsey; Andrew, Atrovon, Sharon, Antoin Jr. and Tametra; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and much gratitude to her caregivers, Chevelle, Gertha, Sonya and Stephanie; and a host of nieces, nephews and grieving family and friends.   

 

 

 

*Funeral Ceremony: Due to the recent numbers of the Coronavirus pandemic, seating will be limited during funeral services.  Please correspond with immediate family members to get seating limitations as each church seating will differ.    Upon the approval of the family, there will be a "live streaming" on the Milton Funeral Home Facebook page.  We thank you for your cooperation and we do understand that these new guidelines may cause inconveniences to all!
