Dorothy R.  Harris was born December 9, 1951,  to the late L C Dudley and Christeen Thinn  and was raised by Allen and Manatee Thinn In Marianna, Florida. She gave her life to Christ at an early age. Dorothy received her education in the Pasco County School System at Moore Mickens Education Center.  Dorothy was blessed to marry Freddy Brockington and to this union one son, Rodney was born. She later married James Harris Sr., and two children were added to this union, James and Christina. She loved her family dearly.  Dorothy was the mother of three and the sister of 9.  She enjoyed working and supporting her family.  Dorothy worked for the State of Florida at the Department of Health and Rehabilitations Services for over 30+ years, until she retired. She also worked for Bank of America in Dade City. Dorothy spent her remaining years volunteering in her church and at community events.  Dorothy loved the Lord. Dorothy was also a member of the Senior Women’s Ministry at St John M.B. Church, a member of Ladies of Elegance Silver Ministry, and Forever Friends. On February 21, 2024, she heard the voice of God softly calling her name, "My beautiful blossom, it is time for you to come home. Your time on earth has ended and I seek your presence with me". Our mother responded yes!  I imagine she left these words of comfort for us.   She was proceeded in death by her son, Rodney Brockington; brother, Tony Standifer Sr.;  father, LC Dudley; and her mother, Christeen Standifer. She leaves behind precious memories with her loving and devoted husband, James H. Harris; her devoted children, James (Jamie)  Harris, Jr. and wife, Latarsha  and  Christina King and husband, Christopher King;  her grandchildren, Brianna Harris, Arianna Harris, Jason Dean, Mashell Dean, Riley B.
