Donald David Tessman Sr., 81, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at his home in Dade City, FL, after a brief illness. He was the loving partner of Brenda Collen, for over 30 years. Born in 1943 in Winsted, CT, he was the son of the late Edward Tessman and the late Edith Thomas. The family lived in New Hartford, CT. Donald worked as a factory worker for many years in various local factories in the New Hartford area. He enjoyed attending Torrington Twisters games with his partner, Brenda and his grandchildren, and was an avid fan of the NY Yankees, NY Giants, and UConn Women’s NCAA Basketball. He loved cooking his special spaghetti sauce and hamburgers on the stovetop. Donald was known for being the kindest, most caring, thoughtful, and supportive partner, father, son, brother, friend, and grandfather. We will always be grateful for the good times spent together and the everlasting memories. He will forever be missed. He is survived by his beloved sons, Donald Tessman Jr., Edward Tessman, and Jimmy Collen; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Jeremy, Jessica, and Zachery; and his great-grandchildren, Brian and Braxton; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.
