Diane Weeks-Russ, 67, was born on June 1, 1967, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to the late John L. Hudson and the late Elenore Weeks-Hudson. She attended Lancaster City schools in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Throughout her life, she worked various jobs but ultimately became a full-time housekeeper. Diane later met Stevie Russ of Dade City, Florida, and together they traveled for many years until they settled in Dade City. She became affectionately known to many as "Lady D." Diane was recognized as a trendsetter with her stylish hairstyles and fashionable clothing. She was known for being very outspoken and dedicated to hard work. The city of Dade City became her second home, where she was loved by many and became a legend in her own right. She always loved the Lord and was a member of At the Church of the Living Christ in Dade City, Florida, remaining an active member until her health declined. Singing and worshiping the Lord were among her passions. Diane will be greatly missed as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, John L. Hudson and Elenore Weeks-Hudson; her brothers, Frederick Weeks and John Weeks; and her sister, Grethchen Ojo. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Stevie L. Russ; her dedicated daughter, Tameera Weeks of Richmond, VA; her one granddaughter who was her prize and passion, Sahrye Webb; her sisters, Caroline Weeks, Louise (Ronnie) Savage, Lorraine Davis, Arlene Traore, and Tina Weeks; and the host of nieces, nephews. cousins and sorrowing friends. Diane “Lady D” will be missed by many, especially her family. She was always a road runner but she loved everyone in her own special way. Her legacy will live on forever.
