Jesse L. Pittman was born on August 27, 1937, to the late Wesley, Sr. & Agnes Pittman. He was born and reared in San Antonio, Florida, attended Pasco County Public Schools, and was a true neighbor to all who knew him. During his life, he worked in highway construction but devoted his career as an orange grove foreman in providing produce and its by-products to our community “Pep” as we called him, “Deacon Pittman” to others, was a born-again Christian. In his zeal for the Lord, he and his late wife joined and served at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church (San Antonio, Florida) where he was ordained as a deacon. On October 13, 2002, he joined At the Church of the Living Christ, Inc., where he continued to serve faithfully until his health began to fail. He was a good neighbor in that he offered his service to others; his home was always open to strangers, and he loved to go fishing. During his latter years, he was placed in a care facility where he continued to guide and encourage friends, family, and loved ones. To converse with him reflected his growth in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of God’s will for his life. He was preceded in death by his loving wife-Kathleen Pittman; brother-Wesley Pittman Jr.; Sister-in-law- Mary Ellen Pittman; nephew-Gregory Pittman, Sr., and son- Frankie L. Redmon. He leaves to cherish his memories: daughter- Leila M. Blake of Brooksville, FL; brother-David Pittman (Christine) of Baltimore MD; children: Sammy Redmon of Bradenton, FL; Jesse Redmon of Douglas, GA.; Felix Redmon (Dolores) of Dade City, FL.; Pastor Matthew Redmon (Andrea) of Brandon, FL; John Redmon of Ft. Myers, FL; Sandra Smith (Walter) of Miami, FL; Bobbie Bethea (Willis) of Orlando, FL and a host of loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
