Daniel Wellsoon Avena was gifted to the world on October 14, 1986 in Tampa, Florida through a loving union between Jesula Marie Avena and Jean Claude Avena. Daniel was affectionately known to many as “Bernie Mac”. His funny antics and bright smile lit up the room no matter the mood. Daniel was educated in the public school system of Hillsborough and Pasco County, where he made many lasting friendships. He was an incredible athlete with a natural talent to excel in sports, where football was his ultimate passion. Later on in life, he found his true love, which was cooking and bringing smiles to others through tantalizing their taste buds. He would lose himself whenever he got behind the stove. With all his special qualities and talents, Daniel found the most joy through spending time with his 3 beautiful children, Lyric, Shawn, and Danny. His relationship with God was deeply personal and his faith never wavered even through the many adversities he faced in life. “It’s never goodbye, it’s see you again”, was his favorite quote to use and it still brings solace to the hearts of his loved ones until this day. Until we see you again Bernie, T.I.P. (Travel In Peace)! Keep smiling that bright smile, for it will one day lead us back to you, guiding us in the right direction when it is our time. He is survived by: Children, DaShawn M. Avena, Daniel D. Avena, and Lyric I. Avena; Parents, Jesula M. Avena Jean C. Avena: Siblings, Jean R. Aime, Johnny Avena, Anna R.
