Cortelius Glover, affectionately known to many as "Cookie" was born December 2, 1958 in Donaldsonville, Georgia to the Late William Wynn and the Late Florence Glover. Cookie received her formal education in the Pasco County Public Schools System, graduating with the class of 1965. Cookie met and made many lasting friendships and will be greatly missed by many of her friends, coworkers and family members. She was employed by Publix Supermarket as a Deli Clerk where she recently retired in 2021. Cookie was a lifelong member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Harold Thomas, where she served on the Usher Board until her health began to fail. On Thursday, December 30, 2021, God called Cookie home to rest surrounded by her many loved ones and caring friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Alexis Glover; both her parents; her sister, Linda Starks; step-fathers, Phillip Mathis and King David Capehart; and her niece, Tenis Mathis. Cookie is survived by her daughter, Calandra Glover; raised as her daughter, Victoria Starkes; 2 brothers, Eugene Glover and Elijah Mathis (Isabel); niece, Jilisa Mathis; nephew, Elijah Mathis Jr.; aunts, Lilile Ruth Brown (Charlie), Eloise McKenzie and Jean Dickson; uncles, Theodore Dudley Jr. (Carolyn), Robert Dudley, James Dickson (Irae Lee), Joe Lee Dickson (Cal) and Sasha Dickson (Patricia); special friends, Debbie Dobbs; like a mother, Johnnie Sue Jeter; like a sister, Karen Jeter; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
