Mrs. Bettie Elizabeth Harrell was born June 30, 1932 in Dillon, South Carolina to the late James and Mae Bell Cousar. She later moved to Brooklyn, New York during her late twenties. Shortly after arriving in Brooklyn, she met and married the love of her life, Curtis Harrell. They had a wonderful life together. He gave her permission and his total support to retire at age 45. She touched the lives of many people and never met a stranger. Bettie had three children: Charlie, Mae and Neicey. Our beloved Bettie sought to encourage, motivate, inspire and support others (family and friends, ect.) to be their best selves. She approached everyone with honesty, boldness, and lots of love. Bettie will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by: her son, her husband, her parents, two sisters and her brothers. Bettie entered into an eternal rest on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Advent Health Hospital, Wesley Chapel, Florida. She leaves to cherish her loving memories: two daughters, Addie Mae Cousar and Denise Green; son-in-law, Darryl Green; great-grandson, Ermias Green; her brother, Bishop Cousar; she also leaves special nieces and nephews, Justeen Nichols, Carrie Martinez, Debbie Cousar, Delores and Patricia Johnson, Patrick Cousar, Elmer Jr., and Jerry Johnson; and a host of other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
