Arthalla Thomas Norwood

The Late Arthalla,  also known to many as "Arstella" Thomas Norwood was born to the late Versa Andrews Miller on January 6, 1924 in Wewahitchka, Florida.  Arstella peacefully completed her race on May 5, 2019 in Trinity, FL.  Arstella was a member of Piney Grove M.B. Church where she performed various duties; a member of Usher Board, Financial Secretary, and was appointed to the Mother Board.  She was a part of the Order of Eastern Star, Rising Sun Chapter #70, Heroines of Jericho and J.K. Court.   Arstella was employed for over 35 years for Kiefer Pharmacy Inc.   Arstella was preceded in death by her husband, Obie Norwood; her mother, Versa Andrews; stepfather, Joe Roland; brother, James Thomas; sister, Essie Mae Granger; daughter, Elder Pamela S.Miller; niece, Katie Lee Standifer.  Arstella was a faithful servant who was always willing to go the extra mile to do what ever was needed to fulfill whatever task was at hand. Arstella had a heart of gold, who feared God. She would often say that its a must, that you give God some of your time.  She had a beautiful smile to match her beautiful heart.  Her unselfish love, various acts of kindness,compassion for others, and heartfelt words will be greatly missed.  Arstella is survived by her granddaughhter, Shannon Tennille Norwood; great grandson, Judah Norwood; nieces, Willie Mae Richardson, Arstella Timmons and  Linda Dawson; nephews, Eugene Granger, Willie B. Broner, Ricky Broner, James Broner and  William Broner;  god children include, Amy Day and  Freddie Mae Alexander; and a host of sorrowful friends.
