Alvorda Melvin Irving was born on September 27, 1947 in Dade City, Florida to the Late Melvin and Mamie Irving. Alvorda Irving departed from his earthly home on March 27, 2018. He was a faithful member of At. The Church of the Living Christ where he served for many years. Alvorda was loved by many and well known in the community. He loved fishing, digging baits and helping others. Alvorda was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary Hester Irving; and 2 brothers, James and Arthur Irving. He leaves to cherish his memory: 4 loving children, Gary J. Irving of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Colette E.. McCray (Aaron) of Dade City, Florida, Alvorda Gardner of Dade City, Florida and Shani Coy of Kissimmee, Florida; he also leaves 1 brother, Rev. Lawrence Irving (Martha) of Houston, Texas; 2 sisters, Willie Pearl James of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Priscilla Irving of Zephyrhills, Florida. Alvorda had 4 grandsons and 2 granddaughters; 3 great granddaughters; and a host of special friends who loved him dearly: Joel Steele Jr.. Percy and Patricia Austin and Gloria Jean Tucker. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom he loved dearly. He will be truly missed.
