Albert Harpe was born on January 1, 1936 in Edison, GA to Ruby Jones (deceased) and grew up there with his grandmother, Maggie Mosley (deceased). The oldest of four, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Horace, Joyce & Frank. Mosley. In 1959, Albert moved to Florida because he heard “money grew on trees .” He married Juanita in 1965 and they made their home in Trilby, FL. There they raised their children, grandchildren & great grandchildren together for 51 years until her death. Albert was a great provider, father and Pop-Pop. Albert held many positions throughout his career, he retired from CSX in 2001 after 30 years as a machine operator. He was a loyal and dedicated member of Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a faithful member, usher & trustee. Albert was called home on Thursday, July 25, 2024. He leaves behind two daughters, Linda Coney (James), LaJuana Harpe, a son, Lionel Harpe; two grandchildren - Tonisha Day (James) and James Coney; six great grandchildren - Jace, James Jr., Jameon & Jru Day, Madison & Tailynn Coney; a sister in law Dorothy Lee Blackmon; a lifelong best friend Gene (GC) Williams; five Godchildren: Shawn Mays, Renee Doctor-Thomas, Shaquoya Hill-Boyd, Jessica Plummer and Matthew Williams. A host of cousins, nieces, nephews and sorrowing friends.
