Ahmed Rashod Hicks Sr., affectionately known as "Pop", was born March 6, 1975 to Lillian "Lou" Smith at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Dade City, Florida. At an early age he accepted Christ as his Personal Savior and was baptized in Jesus' Name at St. Luke Apostolic Church. He was educated in the public schools of Pasco County and ultimately earned his high school diploma from Pasco Comprehensive High School. During high school he played football and gained a deep love for the sport of wrestling. He became a devoted student to the art of wrestling and ultimately earned the title of FHSAA State Champion. Pop was employed with the Pasco County School District. His hobbies were, sports, family activities, muscle cars and fishing, where you could find him most early mornings and late afternoons. Pop departed this life on September 4, 2018. He was very well loved and will be greatly missed. He leaves to cherish fond memories of him with his loving high school sweetheart and wife, Gail Miller-Hicks; five children, Sierra Mixon, Ahmeisha Hicks, Santana Singletary-Hicks, Rashod Hicks Jr. and Tiffany Brockington; god child, Judah Norwood; grandchild, Kalen Thomas; parents, Charlie and Lillian Smith; in-laws, Gary and Charlotte McCullough; siblings, Lynwood Smith, Jamar Hicks, Kimberly Smith, Charlie Smith, Jr., Sherry Smith, Sheanita Smith; and a host of sorrowing aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
