Verta Mae Key

Verta Mae Key was born on September 7, 1941 to the late Sylvester Jones and Arethera Jones in Arcadia, Florida. Verta Mae was raised in Dade City, Florida where she attended the public school system of Pasco County.  She married Cleo Stinyard  Sr. in 1957, from this union was born 4 children.  After 10 years of marriage Verta Mae Subsequently married Mr. Robert Key.  Verta Mae retired from Heritage Park Specialty Care Center after 31 years of dedicated service. Verta Mae was a faithful servant of God. She accepted Christ and was a devoted member of At The Church Of The Living Christ where she faithfully served as a Mother of the church, a praise and worship leader and a lead prayer warrior.  Verta Mae was known for her love for Christ, her singing and praying spirit, her love for Western movies, visiting the sick and her passionate undying love for her family.  She was preceded in death by her 2 sons, Charles Stinyard and Cleo Stinyard Jr.; 2 sisters, Wanda Bucknor and Nancy Jones; and 2 brothers, John Ethridge and Leroy Shultz.  She leaves to cherish loving memories: 2 daughters, Janice Mayo (Dade City), Jennifer Stinyard Jones (Atlanta, GA); sister, Celeste Jones (Mississippi); adopted sister, Fannie Gentiles; brother, Sylvester Jones Jr. (Wabasso, FL); 8 grandchildren, Antwon Mayo (Tarpon Springs, FL) Tony Stinyard (Tampa, FL), Cleo Stinyard (Dade City, FL), LaToya Harris (Dwayne) (Atlanta, GA), Amber Stinyard and Ariell Felder (Dade City, FL), Demetrius Jones (Lebanon, TN), Maurice Stinyard (Zephyrhills, FL); and a host of great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, family and friends.
