Tomika Wonnette Penix, affectionately known as “Meeka” was born on August 27, 1975 in Chicago, Illinois. She accepted Christ at an early age. Tomika attended the public schools of Pasco County and graduated from Moore-Mickens Education Center in Dade City, Florida. She was very family oriented and enjoyed spending countless hours with her three boys. She also enjoyed dancing, reading and fishing. Tomika worked as an Associate for Walmart in Brooksville, Florida. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Robert Penix and Essie Mae Penix; and her paternal grandfather, Henry Spight. Tomika departed this life on Monday, April 29, 2019 in Tampa, Florida. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones and friends. She is survived by her loving sons, Alonzo Fagin, Alexander Fagin and Alvis Fagin; her loving and devoted mother, Lenola Penix; her loving father, Larry Spight; her loving sisters, Leslie Penix, Ma'Lisa Penix and Timantha Roundtree; her loving brothers, Fredrerick Penix (Kerri Ann) and Timothy Roundtree, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
