Robert Louis James

On April 11, 2019, God allowed his angels to come down to earth and close the eyes of Brother Robert Louis James and carried him home to eternal rest.   Robert was born February 3, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan to the Late Emma Lizzie   Everett and the Late Lewis James.  Robert moved to Dade City, Florida at an early age.  He attended school in Pasco County where he met and made many lasting friendships. He was an active member of Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church   under the leadership of Reverend Willie M. Oliver.  Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Lizzie Everett; father, Lewis James; brother, Ray Charles James; and sister, Katie Lee Scottland.  He leaves many loved ones to cherish his memory: wife, Jane C. James; one devoted son, Robert Yarnell Pryor (Laura); one devoted daughter, Emma Lynn James; four devoted brothers, Thomas Everett (Christine), Andre James of  Detroit, Michigan, Glen James (Timella)  of Detroit Michigan, Blake James (Nina) of  Detroit, Michigan; one devoted sister, Shai James-Boyd (Wilson) of Detroit Michigan; step sons, Shawn Williams and Dexter Couington of Atlanta, Georgia; two step daughters, Kendra (Fabain) Pierce of Vero Beach, FL, Shanniece Smith of Vero Beach, FL; sister-in- law, Ann Couington of San Diego, California; two brothers-in-law, William Reaves of  Jacksonville, FL, Byon (Claudine) Reaves, Vero Beach, FL; fifteen grandchildren; two special friends, Willie O’Neal of Dade City, FL and Terence Glen Rooks of New York; a special niece, Shalanna  Jackson; a special nephew, Toranto Thomas of Vero Beach, FL; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and other beloved family and friends.
