Mr. L. V. Wells was born in Burbin, Mississippi to the parents of the Late Mr. Willie Wells and Luvenia Thomas Wells, who preceded him in death, during the time of slavery.  Later in his life in  the year of 1957, he came to Dade City, Florida on a pickup truck.  In that same week, he became employed taking Mexicans to work where he  learned the Spanish language and loved watching Spanish movies.   Before his retirement, he was employed as a long distance truck driver and was employed with Townsend Incorporated.  His truck driving skills afforded him the opportunity to travel all over the United States.  He was also a heavy equipment operator on a ranch.  He departed this life on Saturday, November 11, 2017.  Mr. L.V.  is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 25 years, Chaplain Hazel Wells; a   step-son, David Perkins (Karen); a step-daughter, Tara Perkins; a step-grandson, Drew Gomez; four daughters, Christine Breedlove, Olivia Harris of Greenville, Mississippi, Mary Louise Wells of Dade City, Florida and  Angelina Brown (Melvin) of Brooksville, Florida; two sons, Levesta Wells of California and Jimmy Wells of St. Petersburg, Florida; two sisters, Lucille Williams of Greenville, Mississippi and  Louise Wells of Greenville, Mississippi; three brothers, Jesse Lee Wells (Patricia) of Chicago, Illinois, Jesse Carter Wells of Chicago, Illinois and Charles Wells of Greenville, Mississippi; 30 grandchildren and great grandchildren; 2 god children, Johnny and Gina Hambrick of Lacoochee, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and sorrowing friends.
