Keith Clay McClendon

Keith Clay McClendon was born October 14, 1957 in Dade City, Florida to Joanna Courtney and the Late Jesse McClendon.  Keith graduated from the Pasco County School System in 1975.  After receiving his  Associate degree he furthered his education at St. Leo University.  Keith worked in management at many retail stores.  He later met and married the Late Janice Florence and relocated to Miami, Florida where he resided for several years.  Following the death of his wife, Keith related back home to Dade City where he resided until his passing.  Keith was a hard working and intelligent person.  He loved spending time with his family and friends.  More importantly he loved God and enjoyed going to church.  Keith was a member of New Life Family Church in Christ under the leadership of his younger brother, Bishop Jesse B. McClendon.  He formally served as Deacon and Sunday School Teacher.  Keith was very knowledgeable in the word of God.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice McClendon; his father, Jesse McClendon; and grandparents, Freeman and Eunice Courtney.  He leaves cherished memories with two children, Trinay  and Kevin;  his loving mother, Joanna; four grandchildren; three brothers, Bishop Jesse B. McClendon (Terry), Elder Freeman D. McClendon (Rose) and Todd McClendon; seven nephews, Terrence (Ella), Bryan (Nicole), Andre, Jesse, Freeman (Justine), Darrell and Travis; one niece, Jada; two great nephews; special friends, Ruthie Colbert, Shirl Johnson, Elouise Brown and J.R. Rogers; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many other sorrowing relatives and special friends.
