Jamarques M. Codling was born November 13, 1995 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Christopher D. Codling and Dionne A. Craig (deceased). He attended public schools in Boward County and Pasco County, Florida. He graduated high school in 2015. Jay, as he was affectionately known, grew up in Fort Lauderdale and Dade City, Florida. Later in life, Jay accepted Christ and joined Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church in Dade City, Florida. During his life, all who knew Jay found him to be a very loving person who was always willing to help a person in need. Jay always wore a smile on his face, regardless of life’s challenges. Through his enduring love, Jay touched and forever changed the lives of everyone he met. Jay leaves to celebrate his loving memory: his loving friend , Ariel Stinyard of Dade City, Florida; his son, Ashden Dion Codling of Dade City, Florida; his father, Christopher D. Codling (Tameka) of Dade City, Florida; his sisters, Nadia Craig-Anderson of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Rachel M. Codling of Dade City, Florida and stepsister, Daysia N. Carr of Ocala, Florida; his maternal grandparents, Ronald and Betty Miller of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Deborah Craig of Dade City, Florida (who preceded him in death) and William Morris of Dade City, Florida; his paternal grandparents, Linda Baker of Dade City, Florida and Robert McCollough of Greenville, Mississippi; and a host of other loving great uncles, great aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
