Delores Ann Billings-Hansberry was born on January 30, 1952 in Rhine, Georgia to the Late Seabon Billings and Lois Benton. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age at New Bethel AME Church, Lacoochee, Florida under the leadership and guidance of the Late Rev. C.D. Lazier. Delores served faithfully in the Junior and Senior Choir, as well as Sunday School Teacher. She received her formal education at Floyd Academy Elementary School, Lacoochee, Florida and Mickens High School, Dade City, Fl. After graduation, she married her high school sweetheart, the Late Rev. James Ray Hansberry. To this union, two children were born, Derrick and Jalona Hansberry. She was employed by Dade City Hospital for many years. She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory: one son, Derrick Hansberry (LeQuaya) of Zephyrhills, FL; one daughter, Jalona Hansberry-Singleton (Derrick) of Dade City, FL; six grandchildren, Derrion Hansberry, Canesha Hansberry, Jaleel Hansberry, Jamar Hicks Jr., Jaheim Hansberry and Jaden Hansberry; four sisters, Gloria Roberts (Levy) of Clarksville, TN, Elizabeth Goins of Plant City, FL, Carlene Snead (Andrew) of Jacksonville, FL and Mary Smith of Dade City, FL; seven brothers, Seabon Billings (Michelle) of Louisville, KY, Larry Billings (Iowa), Clifford Johnson of Waycross, GA, Mitchell Williams of Jessup, GA, Ulysses (Dorothy), Johnny and Curtis Johnson all of Jessup, GA; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; two devoted friends, Jacob Pugh Sr. and Leroilyn Lewis; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.
