Deacon Charles Frazier Obituary

Deacon Charles Addison-Frazier was born on July 22, 1945 to the late Evelyn Marie “Daisy” Manor and Cephus Maner in Allendale, South Carolina. During his childhood, Charles, also know to family and friends as “Bubba”, attended Allendale County Schools and graduated with a high school diploma. As a young man, Charles moved from South Carolina to Jersey City, NJ where he met his long time companion for over 40 years, the late Eloise Grant. To this relationship was born one daughter, Cora P. Grant. Charles also assisted in the upbringing of Eloise’s other 9 children (Maxine, Jerome, Patricia, Earl, Loretta, Classical, Anthony, Alice, Sanita) from previous relationships. While living in Jersey City, NJ, Charles joined Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Ford and was the lead singer in a family-formed group called “The Little Rock Gospel Singers”. Charles also served on many boards while being a member at of Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church.   Later on in life, Charles and Eloise decided to part ways and Charles moved back to South Carolina, as known to him as “home”. During this time, he joined Goodwill Baptist Church where he was ordained to become a deacon.  Also, he met and married Ernestine Washington-Frazier and became a member of the gospel group, “The Mighty Goldenaires”. Charles was a faithful member until he decided to make another move to Brooksville, FL to be closer to his eldest living sister, Mother Mae Washington. Charles was loved dearly by all who knew him and was beginning to be made known throughout the Brooksville community as “Uncle Bubba”.  While becoming a resident in Brooksville, Charles became very active in the church community. He attended New Jerusalem Church of God, Twin Lake, became a member of the Community Choir and the Noon Day Prayer. Charles served faithfully and was there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.  Charles departed this life and gained his heavenly wings on Monday, November 12, 2018 and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.  Charles had three siblings that preceded him in death: Catherine Addison-Williams, Febbie Frazier and Eugenia Wilson.  He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife; Ernestine Frazier of Fairfax, SC, one daughter; Cora P.
