David Sylvester Benson

David Sylvester Benson was born on November 16, 1959 in Mobile, Alabama to the late Bettie Ann Carter and Leroy Benson. David was the first of five siblings. He was a lifelong resident of Pasco Country, and attended the public schools system in Pasco County as well. David was a very special person who enjoyed life to the fullest. He made many lasting friendships and will be greatly missed by so many.  David was an active member and volunteer at the Resurrection House Missions in Dade City, FL.  He was also well known for being an excellent Chess player. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bettie Ann Carter, father Leroy Benson and two brothers, Jeffery Lynn and Steve Benson. He is survived by his siblings, Angela (Ronnie) Benson-Romain of Columbia, SC and Raymond (Josephine) Bernard Benson of Dade City, FL; a companion Lanarca Singletary; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other sorrowing relatives and friends.
