Mother Lorene J. Orr

Mother Lorene J. Orr  was born December 4, 1931 to the Late Talbert and Lottie Mae Jones. Mother Orr came to Dade City in 1946 at an early age and became the wife of the Late Nathaniel Sims and to this union four children were born.  She remarried after Nathaniel passed away to the Late Carl Orr.  Mother Orr accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized at an early age.  She truly loved the Lord as well as all of her family and friends.  Mother Orr was a faithful church member as well as a prayer warrior.  She was a District and Judicial worker in the Church of God in Christ.  She worked until her health began to fail.  Mother Orr was a fabulous cook and was always ready to lend a helping hand whenever she could. Mother Orr was as a Registered Nurse for many years.   On November 23, 2017, Thanksgiving morning, God plucked another flower for His garden.  She departed this life peacefully in the loving arms of Jesus Christ.  She leaves to cherish her memories: six children, Emma Lee Thomas (Jessie) of Plant City, FL, Ruby Stephens of New York, Faye Joyce Harris of Tampa, FL, Nathaniel Sims Jr. of  Tampa, FL, Lorenzo Sims of Trilby, FL and Michael Sims of Trilby, FL; god daughters, Beverly Taylor, Brenda Barker and Beverly Williams; twenty-seven grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren; one sister, Josephine Senior of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other sorrowing relatives and friends
