Deacon Townsend Scott, Jr. was born August 28, 1940 in Troy, Alabama to the Late Townsend and Victoria Scott. Deacon Scott was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a faithful member of Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, member of the Male Chorus and a member of the Trustee Board. Deacon Scott was employed for CSX and retired after 37 years of service. He will be greatly missed throughout his community. He is survived by his loving wife, Neudie Scott; daughters, Sheila Scott and Deirdra Scott; grandchildren, Jermaine Ross, Shantay Gaskins, Randall Scantling, Jamal Ross, Cornell Wilson, Johnathan Ross, Breanna Scantling, Danielle Scantling, Krystal Ross, Cory Wilson and Courtnee Scott; 9 great grandchildren; one sister, Queen Esther Brown; god daughters, Elvera Lee and Carie Brown; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.
